Mistakes Are Just Detours
Mistakes are the detours that direct me to be a better me.

Mistakes help me travel on a journey and arrive as a better person with new insights. I get back up with new direction and stamina each time I stumble. There is a lesson to be learned in every situation.
I take time to reflect when I am down. I ask myself, "What did I do to get to this point?", “What can I glean from looking back?", and “What can I do in the future if a similar situation arises?"
Personal growth is the best outcome of any mistake.
From each experience, I have learned that there is a light at the end of my tunnel, even when I cannot see a dim glow. It would have been easy to allow discouragement, a feeling of failure, and negativity to weigh me down but I made a decision to grow in my circumstances and not stay stuck.
I have learned many lessons from poor choices, mistakes and wrong thinking, however I have enjoyed cultivating the seeds that were planted through those experiences and seeing growth in different areas of my life.
Acknowledge that we all have faults. Making mistakes is part of being human. It isn’t the mistake that we should dwell on, instead, what action steps did we take to learn and grow behind that mistake.
Mistakes are built-in lessons and are part of the training course for life.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. Which of my current qualities was birthed as a result of my mistake?
2. How did I embrace positive changes in my life?
3. Am I able to recognize growth after my mistake?
4. Have any of my characteristics or talents been more apparent due to my experience.
Embrace your mistake, it is giving you a hug of LIFE and a ginormous opportunity to learn and grow!
